Perseverance furthers.
To undertake something brings misfortune.
Without decreasing oneself,
One is able to bring increase to others.
This line , as I understand it so far, seems to talks about keeping a balance between what you give to others and what you preserve for yourself. Not giving away things are essential for your survivor . Giving a lot more than one can handle , it make that individual weak (in a sense ) thus not a strong member of the whole. Both will lose something.
